Abstract

The article presents statistical data for confirmed cases, deaths, and recovery from the COVID-

19 pandemic during the four waves around the world. The statistical data are compared before

and after the Russian-Ukrainian war to illustrate the impact of the war on the pandemic where

experts warned that the war in Ukraine could lead to an increase in the region, in manner

described as catastrophic. The paper investigates and studies the relationship between the peaks

of the four waves of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Specifically the paper studies the effect of this

war on the number of infections and deaths during the fourth wave in both countries using

statistical measures like the regression equations to study the forecasts and realistic evaluation of

the COVID-19 mortality rate in Russia and Ukraine. Also calculated the Skewness and Kurtosis

coefficient for confirmed cases, recovering, and deaths to show the data shape distribution in

both countries to find out whether the war increased the incidence of cases or not.last section we

comput Chi-Square test to determine whether the difference between the observed and expected

values in both countries is statistically significant or not.
